KABOOM
ABOUT THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND.....
While drunk and dour a man decides that it is best to lift himself from the ashes of his
failure and to create a new god for himself. He decides that it is time to smash his idols
and to revolt against the forces which claim his origin. So he buys a 50 dollar guitar and
spray paints gunshot wounds and flames across the exterior. He cracks another pint of
whiskey and reads some Bukowski while spinning a Stooges record on the turntable. By the
end of the night he's written a few cranky blues tunes and plugs his guitar into the stereo
and pretends to sing like Tom Waites. The next thing you know, he's driving around the
country in a gold mini-van with tinted windows. He's driving to the next show where he will
be singing rowdy sonnets to drunkards and strange women in forgotten cities.
Guitar Bomb is a one man blues punk band with an electric hollow body guitar, a voice
like gravel, and a drum machine. With his fair share of touring throughout the US and
Canada one can expect to see or hear more about this act. His debut release, "Back Alley
Jesus" on Crafty Records is already receiving critical acclaim. Salvo magazine say's....
"Guitar Bomb's, Back Alley Jesus is a torrent of conflicting affairs that will usually fall
either side of the
line; suicidal ideation or worthless popism. He has somehow managed to
master the juggling act and find
the perfect balance between the two."
This is a man dedicated to delivering punk rock credibility to the blues. If there
is a single act that can tip its cap to the old Delta Mississippi players of the '30's and
shake a fist with punks of the 80's, it is Guitar Bomb.

Birthday Party
August '08
So Matt and I have been playing lots of regional shows, and festivals.  Thanks to the folks at The Heavy Rebel Weekender in Winston-Salem NC.  This is a killer three day festival druring the 4th of July.  They have lots of great Rockabilly/Rock/Punk bands in addition to mud wrestling, wet t-shirt contest, hot rod show and more.
Also thanks to the folks who set up the
Rust Riot in Putnam Valley NY.  This was the second year.  It was a cool fun scene.  Look it up and mark your calander for next year.
Matt and I will also be playing the
Coney Island Rockabilly Fest on Labor Day Weekend.  This might be the last one ever.  I refuse to believe that this may be the last summer at Coney Island.
Look forward to a possible outing with some chicks in roller skates.  They just might kick our asses.

Yes, and then there was a drummer.  You may know him from other such acts as, Claws of Paradise, or The Sweet Ones.  Matt,  Bunge for short,  will be playing with me for most sets.  If you like to  shake yer ass, then then this guy will get you moving it.  The Claws of Paradise  and Guitar Bomb will be doing a short little tour through the mid-west and a bit south for ten days in early April.  Check the schedule for tour dates.  In May I will be doing a solo tour with my lovely, talented friend, Miwa Gemini.  We be playing for rednecks AND Canadians  all in the same tour.  Oh, and thanks to INK 19 for the positive press.  Ok now, I'm not much for talking.

Wow, holy shit the time flies.  Ok, so then I had a great show with my Canadian buddy Lucas Stagg.  We toured the mid-west, then the south, then headed up to the great wide open up in Canada.  We played, got piss drunk, and drove a lot, and partied with some cool folks on the way.  I don't remember too much so I wrote in down in a note book and then transcribed onto the interweb while in a more sober state of mind.  Yup you can read that in the contact section or on the blog section of myspace., blah blah blah blah.

Some new news.....I would like to thank Gotham Radio and the Only Hope Show.  They have started spinning my disc--a lot they tell me.  You can check it out at http://www.GothamRadio.org.  The Only Hope Show is on Tuesday 7-8, Thursday 5-6 and Saturday from 3-4.  Maybe an on air interview or performance in the near future?
Also check out the latest issue of Modern Fix Magazine.  There is supposedly an interview of Back Alley Jesus in there somewhere.  I haven't seen it yet.  Hopefully it is positive.

Hello all.   I'm back from the big ol' tour and already working on the next one.  You can check out the blog from the tour on the contact page.  Some people think that these things are interesting, I guess.  There is still some more press trickling in.  Thanks to  Salvo Magazine, Amplifier Magazine, Read Junk, Razor Cake, Left of the Dial Magazine, Smother, New York Waste, and Delusions of Adequacy,  Jersey Beat, Independents Only, Movement Magazine, Hybrid Magazine, Losing Today, and Stranger Magazine for all of their glowing reviews.  You can check out their publications through the links on my press page.  I'm sure they would appreciate the traffic.  It looks like there will still be more reviews in the coming months ahead.
Also thanks to WRHU Hofstra University's radio station for the interview and the airplay.  Oh and yes, I can not forget Chris Wimberly at WCOM 103.3 The Nightsound Show(Carrboro NC) for the interview.  You can listen to both of these on the press page as well.
So in the the fall I will be embarking on another, shortish tour with my buddy Lucas Stagg from Canada.  Some of you might remember him from the last early fall tour that I did with him.  Check out his links when you get a chance.
Later....
